It’s not the apocalypse yet…
News
New York looked dazzling in all its post-apocalyptic smokey glory this week and it makes me want to rewatch Dune. Obviously, the Canadian wildfires are terrible and the issue of air quality is something to take seriously, but also I can make a slightly relevant pop culture reference out of almost anything. In more directly relevant news for UTL we have some fun events you won’t want to miss this month. Come see us at our monthly 3rd Thursday networking event, you guessed it, this Thursday. Come join us, grab a drink, and see who you can connect with! We would love to see all of your beautiful faces this week. Later this month join us for a special Pride Month event with Olivia Jaramillo from Equality Utah. This is a unique opportunity that you won’t want to miss! See more information on how to register below. |

C’mon, tell me these don’t look the same.

WLI: Political Development Series
2nd Thursdays, September – February, 10:30 am – 2:00 pm
The Women’s Leadership Institute offers a 6-month nonpartisan cohort-style political training. Meeting monthly in downton SLV, the Political Development Series offers women consistent space and support to explore their political ambitions. From September to February, monthly meetings focus on timely political topics and practical know-how. Lunch and speaker presentation, contracts, an online learning portal, and other resources are included. February graduation ends on Capitol Hill, and is acknowledged on both the House and Senate floors and ends with a graduation ceremony.
If you are interested in a supportive environment to explore the option of getting politically involved and making connections as you go, we’d love to have you join us. Registration is open for our fall 2023 cohort.
